Welcome to the Ottawa Network for the Study of Late Antiquity, based in the Department of Classics and Religious Studies in the University of Ottawa, Canada. The Network promotes the study of the culture of the Mediterranean world from the 3rd to the 7th century, a period of remarkable religious, political, and socioeconomic changes.
Our members are drawn from universities in the region of Ottawa. They are experts in rhetoric, history, historiography, religion, philosophy, palaeography, papyrology, epigraphy, and ancient languages (Greek, Latin, Hebrew, Aramaic, Coptic, Ethiopic, Syriac).
In addition to its work in research and graduate studies, the Network sponsors lectures and other events which are open to the public. We hope that you will join us.
